I have known Ken Jackola for over 25 years. I was his 1SG at the Corvallis Armory prior to the attacks on 9-11, and then his Command Sergeant Major during our deployment to Iraq.
We served together in many other instances over the next 15 years. Lately, I have had the opportunity to watch him as he was elected the Mayor of Lebanon, Oregon.
I can describe Ken in one word, LEADER!
Ken is one of the finest leaders I have ever served with, and I have served with the best in the world. His dedication to the men under his supervision is without equal.
I can give no higher comment that if I had a choice in leaders to lead my own sons, I would pick Ken.
I have witnessed his dedication as Mayor of Lebanon and have noticed that he has taken that great leadership from the uniform world to the civilian world. He remains a LEADER.
He will take all his experience and knowledge to our legislature and will build consensus to move our state forward.
His values are beyond reproach, and I can think of no one I would trust more than Ken.
